HOW TO LOAD THE SWATCHES

  1. Download Cut Contour Spot Swatches.ai from the folder above, then open your artwork in Adobe Illustrator.
  2. Select Window > Swatches.
  3. Open the menu in the upper-right corner of the Swatches panel.
  4. Select Open Swatch Library > Other Library.
  5. Choose Cut Contour Spot Swatches.ai. A separate Cut Contours library panel will open.
  6. Click the CutContour and PerfCutContour swatches in that library panel to add them to the main Swatches panel for your current document.

EXAMPLE: ADD A CUTLINE AROUND A CIRCLE

The CutContour or PerfCutContour stroke can be applied to any closed vector shape. This circle is only a simple example.

  1. Select the circle path that should become the finished sticker edge. If your artwork is not already a circle path, use the Ellipse Tool (L) to draw one around it.
  2. Set the circle's Fill to None and make sure the Stroke box is active.
  3. In the main Swatches panel, click CutContour. The circle's stroke will appear magenta, but it will print as a named spot-color cut instruction.
  4. Confirm the path is closed, sits exactly where you want the sticker cut, and the spot swatch name is spelled CutContour.
  5. Save or export the finished artwork as an AI, EPS, or PDF with the spot color preserved, then upload that file here.
Colored-background artwork needs bleed: Place the cutline at least 3 mm inside the outer edge of the background color. In other words, the background color must extend at least 3 mm past the cutline on every side. This prevents the sticker material from peeking out if the cut shifts slightly. Files without enough bleed may be refused.
Important: Illustrator's thumbnail/tile view does not show swatch names under the tiles. Hover over a swatch to see its name, or use the Swatches panel menu to switch to List View. Opening the library .ai file as a normal document does not add its swatches to another document. Use Open Swatch Library and click each swatch as described above.

  • 🖨️ Printed with eco-solvent ink — all materials are unlaminated.
  • ⬜ No white ink is printed. All white areas in your design become the material's background color (silver, gold, holographic, etc.).
  • 🏷️ Permanent adhesive on all options.
